April 16, 2010

Aniruddh "Andrew" Bansal of Metal Assault conducted an interview with Eddie Trunk — co-host of the VH1 Classic television program "That Metal Show" who has a long-running radio show, "Friday Night Rocks", on New York's Q104.3 FM — yesterday (Thursday, April 15) in Glendale, California on the filming location for the next season of "That Metal Show". The chat is now available for streaming in two parts below.

Part 1:

Part 2:

"That Metal Show" is back and ready for another season of celebrating all things hard rock and heavy metal.

Hosted by Eddie Trunk, Jim Florentine ("Crank Yankers", "Inside the NFL", "Meet The Creeps"),and Don Jamieson ("Inside The NFL", "Dice Undisputed", "Meet The Creeps"),"That Metal Show" is a thirty-minute roundtable talk show where legends of rock hang out and discuss their past and current projects, all the while interacting with the metal maniacs that make up the studio audience. Once again, the hosts be settling all metal arguments, trying to "Stump the Trunk," and they will be tracking down artists who vanished from the metal scene.

VH1 Classic has mixed the best of "The View" with "Headbangers Ball" to create "That Metal Show". Each week the hosts discuss the latest rock news, share stories, take to the streets for man on the street pranks, and argue about their favorite bands. Whether they're arguing over the best Canadian metal band of all time in "The Throwdown" or tracking down one of your favorite metal artists who disappeared in a "Whatever Happened To" segment or Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson hitting the streets to connect and hang out with the fans for some "Man-On-The Street" pranks, everything is covered and no metal band or metal moment is left behind.

But "That Metal Show" isn't just a roundtable discussion; it's about comedy too. The comedy continues in-studio, as host Eddie Trunk takes on the metal maniacs in the studio audience in the "Stump the Trunk" metal trivia contest. If the audience can stump Eddie, they win a metal-worthy prize.

"That Metal Show" is a hilarious 30 minutes of mayhem that all fans of hard rock and heavy metal are bound to love! It is the perfect combination of music and comedy in one show.

"That Metal Show" is a production of VH1 Classic. Lee Rolontz and Keshia Williams as executive producers for VH1. Jeff Baumgardner serves as producer for the series for VH1.
